How can I apply?

Feel free to email us or fill out the form on this website. We love hearing from artists and accept applications/proposals on a rolling basis. Email us with any additional questions not covered in this FAQ at hello@uplandvt.com.

Is Upland furnished?

Yes. Each workspace has a desk/chair, and the living space has a kitchen (fridge, sink, oven, coffee machine), table, couch, and queen bed. Sheets/towels are provided. There is a washing machine and a clothesline for drying.

Do I need a car?

Yes, access to a car for the duration of your residency is strongly recommended. Upland is 2 miles up a rural dirt road and is about a 20-minute drive to the closest grocery store. Car rental agencies are in the nearest large town of Brattleboro, VT.

Can I bring my spouse/partner, child, or other guests to stay with me during my residency?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional guests for an extended stay. Generally, we can make an exception (with prior approval) for spouses/partners who would like to join for a few nights of a residency period. Artist couples are welcome to apply for concurrent residencies. Sorry, no kids.

Pets?

We are not currently allowing pets, but that might change in the future.
